Caelia grew up in Michigan and moved to Georgia when she was a teenager. Her love for the outdoors was nurtured by a childhood spent climbing trees, catching frogs, camping, visiting Lake Michigan and adventuring on nature walks. She graduated from the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in geography. After graduating, she spent her time traveling and working seasonal jobs out west and in the Midwest. She also served with AmeriCorps in two conservation programs including the Montana Conservation Corps, where she worked on numerous conservation projects in the Greater Yellowstone Region and with Huron Pines in Michigan, where she served as a Stewardship Technician at the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy. Caelia began working for the Land Trust in 2017 and currently serves as a Regional Stewardship Manager.
